Who is Andrew East?

Andrew Dean East was born on September 17, 1991. and played long snapper for the NFL. He attended Vanderbilt University and has had many spells in the National Football League (NFL). Most recently with the Washington Redskins.

East is the captain of the Indianapolis, Indiana, North Central High School football team. He played defensive back and special teams for the Indianapolis 5A school for three years straight.

East started as a sophomore and junior linebacker, recording 110 tackles that year. Even though he was initially a long-snapper, he was voted the area’s best all-around linebacker.

As a senior, East started for the first time and recorded 64 tackles and seven quarterback sacks. He was also named to Indiana’s Academic All-State team.

Andrew East Career

On May 11, 2015, East signed as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs. Then on August 30, 2015, he was waived by the Chiefs.

On January 4, 2016, East inked a reserve/future deal with the Seattle Seahawks, and on March 24, 2016, he was given a release.

On April 5, 2016, the Oakland Raiders signed Oakland Raiders East; on August 29, 2016, he was released from the team.

Rams de Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Rams officially announced East’s signing on March 13. He was released from the Rams’ roster on May 3, 2017.

Return of the Oakland Raiders: The Raiders officially signed East on July 28, 2017. He was waived on September 2, 2017.

On January 19, 2018, he signed as a reserve/future player with the Raiders. The Raiders released him on April 9, 2018.

Jaguars of Jacksonville: East joined the Jaguars organization on June 14, 2018. His waiver was effective July 31, 2018.

For the Memphis Express: East was designated for the Memphis Express on November 9, 2018.

The Redskins of Washington: Washington Redskins long snapper Nick Sundberg had a back injury on December 15, 2018. prompting the team to sign East.

The waiver paperwork for him was signed on August 2, 2019. On February 25, 2022, he posted a video to his family’s YouTube page announcing his retirement.

Family

By all appearances, on December 28, 2022, Andrew East and his wife, Shawn Johnson, had lately suffered a tragic loss.

Who is Andrew East’s father, Guy East?

Andrew East was born to Guy East and his wife, Marsha East. The third of Guy and Marsha East’s five children, Andrew East, arrived third.

On September 17, 1991, he entered the world. He has a brother named Guy, three brothers named James and Grant, and a sister named Christine.

A little over a month after turning 63, Guy East passed away on January 6, 2019. He arrived on December 9, 1959.

Like his son, Guy East was a football player in his own right. The guy played football for Purdue University in its most successful season, which occurred in the late 1970s.

He attended Purdue as an undergrad from 1978–1982, majoring in Building Construction Management.

After that, he continued his education at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and obtained a Master of Engineering Management degree. He has found steady employment in the building trades.

The future father of Andrew East went on to work in construction while still keeping bees as a hobby.

Being a part of the Purdue football team. which holds the record for most wins in school history. It is a great honour.

The East family posted a statement after Guy’s death in December. Remembering him as a man committed to his faith and loved ones.

The statement claims that Guy had an intense devotion to God, a sincere character. A dedication to helping others and an unwavering commitment to studying the scriptures.

He was devoted to his family and was always there to spend time with them. With his kids and grandkids and he was always thinking of new ways to inspire and instruct them.

In addition to being a skilled triathlete, beekeeper, author, and innovator. Entrepreneur, coach, volunteer, scoutmaster, committed Christian, loving spouse, and devoted father.

He was also a loyal friend to many. He was a writer, inventor, entrepreneur, coach, volunteer, and scoutmaster; he everything.

Relationship

East is married to Shawn Johnson, a gold medal-winning Olympic gymnast. East and Johnson engaged on July 24, 2015, at a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field,; they tied the knot on April 16, 2016, in Franklin, Tennessee.

Nashville, Tennessee, is home to the couple. A daughter born in October 2019 and a son born in July 2021 round out their family.
